Naylor Newsletter CMS

Naylor Newsletter is the platform Naylor’s association clients used to write, approve, and send their email newsletters. Editors and Naylor staff worked in the same place: draft an issue, drop it into a template, get it signed off, and send it. Behind that is a full CMS — associations, projects, issues, ads, subscriber lists — with permissions so each person only sees what they’re supposed to.

The big win was replacing a messy, email-and-files process with a real workflow. Articles get written in a visual editor, reused across issues, and moved through proof, approval, scheduling, and send. Login, roles, and input checks keep the wrong people (and the wrong content) out. As the rules got stricter, CASL list approval and GDPR privacy notices were built in so mailings could still go out without becoming a legal problem.

It also runs the send, not just the writing. Naylor Newsletter talks to StrongMail (and later MagnetMail) to build HTML and text versions, prepare lists, schedule or cancel a mailing, and deal with proofs, bounces, unsubscribes, and failures. Subscribe forms, blacklists, and bulk list imports keep the audience in sync with what’s actually going out.

After a send, clients can see what happened: opens, clicks, bounces, devices, location, and how a mailing performed over the first day and first week. Reports export to CSV or Excel, campaigns can be compared, and a staff dashboard watches the queue and anything that’s late. There’s even a mobile admin for checking in from a phone. In short, this isn’t a brochure — it’s the engine that kept Naylor’s newsletter business running.
